I really loved this book. I reflect it is one of the best I have read on the topic. It is very professional, being based on research and best practices. It is highly readable, comprehensive and offers powerful, step-by-step events to improve the daily lives of children (and adults) who experience a variety of anxiety disorders. To me, it is a one-stop shop for responsible understanding and treatment.

The book has excellent information for parents but the kids section is not on paper for kids over the age of 9. I would suggest a teen version of this book.

Dr. Bonnie Zucker is one of the brightest young therapists I know. Her book reflects this fact. It is a “must have” for parents as well as for therapists treating anxiety, and the doctrine of CBT are useful for adults as well. This book will open communication between parent and child and fortify children as they face the challenges of growing up.

It is clearly on paper, encouraging, and will cool parents and assure them they are on the right track using this deal with. Mainly vital since nervous children make nervous parents even more nervous and need a way to break the sequence.

Dr. Zucker offers a first, well on paper and practical guide for parents who have noticed anxiety in their child and wish to help owing to a combination of information, structured exercises and deep empathy. As a psychologist who works with many couples who have children–this is now the book I reference when such issues arise.
