I just ordered it and I’m looking forward to read it and make excellent use out of it.

David Burns doesn’t need any recomendations. All his previous books are exceptional.

There is alot of helpful information in this book but also alot of on paper workbook type things to do. But if it helps then I guess it’s worth the effort. When you have panic attacks anythings worth a shot!!

This book really is fantastic, but it presented a problem for me that I could see as an issue for others. It seems to be targeted strictly at your “run of the mill”, generic-type anxiety sufferers – not people like I who have panic over deep philosophical questions that are next to impossible to quell. When you are having existential crises day-by-day, it’s next to impossible for a book like this to provide any information that can help you get owing to those – you truly just have to seek answers with all your heart I have found.

But, for someone who has anxiety about the mundane such as leave-taking home or whatever thing of that concrete, physical nature, this book would probably be really fantastic for them. It did help me with dealing with some of the symptoms that would bother me by realizing that they are just that – symptoms of a disorder that will never kill you and can go away at anytime without drug therapy of any sort.

This book, which is self-help, is exceptional if you really do the homework. It’s also beneficial to see a cognitive psychologist as you go owing to the book.

The only unenthusiastic I have is that I first ordered the book on my Kindle and was not able to use the charts, etc. and then I had to buy the hardback copy. The author specifically says to copy the worksheets.

Self-help books are usually very hard to read, I can’t seem to get owing to them. This book is a very simple read. I find myself not wanting to place it down. It has practical examples and simple to interpret instructions that are helping me get control of my view. I would recommend it to anyone with anxiety or panic problems.
